Animal Care Services will migrate to Canvas on July 1

To access Canvas, visit canvas.ubc.ca and enter your CWL.

There are considerable differences between Connect and Canvas and we recommend you become familiar with Canvas before completing animal training courses. Students who are new to Canvas will want to review A UBC Student's Guide to Canvas. This guide includes a blog written by students and links to the Canvas help guides.

Connect will be retired by September 1, 2018 and will no longer be available for active instruction.

All course material will be migrated over from Connect to Canvas by July 1. In-progress course data (submissions, quizzes, and grades) cannot be transferred into Canvas. Students in the process of completing a course module in Connect are encouraged to finish the module and the associated course by August 31. After that date, training content in Connect will no longer be available. If a course remains incomplete in Connect, students will need to self-enroll into the same course through Canvas and begin the online component again.

We are allowing students who have already started a course in Connect an opportunity to complete the course by August 31. If a course remains incomplete after that date, you must self-enroll into the same course in Canvas and finish the course material and quiz in Canvas.

We recommend using the most recent version of Firefox, Chrome, or Safari when accessing Canvas. If you prefer to use another browser, please make sure it’s been updated to the most recent version. See the Canvas documentation on supported browsers for more information.

Yes. You can access Canvas either through the browser on your phone or tablet or by downloading the mobile Canvas app through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
