Researchers planning animal work in 2026 should note the following temporary ordering restrictions.
During the following 2026 weeks, ACS will not accept live animal shipments from Charles River Laboratories, Inotiv (Envigo), The Jackson Laboratory, or Taconic Biosciences:
- Week of July 1 (Canada Day)
- Week of September 30 (National Day for Truth and Reconciliation)
- Week of November 11 (Remembrance Day)
This is due to fixed delivery schedules that depend on Wednesday operations and to prevent extended transit times and animal stress.
If you need animals around these dates, please arrange delivery for the week before the holiday or use other approved vendors available during these weeks.
All other animal transfer and procurement processes remain unchanged. Contact the ACUP Procurement Team for planning support.
